I’m an engineering leader who writes about code, style, and the ongoing project of becoming a better human at work and outside of it. I spend my time reading books, lifting weights, playing tuba, chasing improvement on the golf course, and living a slightly ridiculous farm-adjacent life with my amazing wife, Meg, two Boston terriers, a horse, and a donkey named Raya Sunshine. I like thoughtful systems, good clothes, and the hope that engineers can be both competent and interesting.
